There are very subtle changes in paint colours in this area. The main entrance wall picture is a khaki tan colour and the other walls are a deeper version of this. The wall that is shared with the living room is more of a golden butterscotch colour. The curved wall of the staircase is a Chinese red. This colour on the architectural feature, gives the entrance a real punch. All these colours are in the painting, as well as, in other art the owners have.
Here we used an aqua colour contrasting with a deep ocean blue to create a tropical feel as you leave the pool area and enter this cabana room.
In this open concept home we used colour to define and dramatize different areas of the space. We used a deep green colour on the window walls which creates a frame for the gorgeous view. We also used it to highlight the architectural features of the upper angled walls. A lighter tone of the same colour was used in the stairwell and an even lighter tone was used on the fireplace wall and downstairs hall.
The colours for this lovely, bright new addition started with a swatch of fabric for the new sofa. We choose a rust colour for the carpet, corn silk colour for the walls, and enhanced the warm cheery feeling of the space. Creamy Silhouette blinds softened and provided light control for these grand windows.
These clients brought back some great art deco prints from a holiday and we used a deep red on the walls to show them off. The soft green used in the living room was used on the other walls in the kitchen area. This looked good with the honey oak cupboards
This was a fun space to try to colour. The colours were chosen from colours in the sofa. The light green was used to soften the angles of the walls of the feature window. The dark green was used in the entrance to show some drama as you entered the home. It was used again in the dining room to create some intimacy to the room with its cathedral ceilings.
